DM & RM License Renewal

Dashboard Management (DM) & Reminder Management (RM) modules are part of maintenance contract. These particular modules have its own activation license separately from the HASP dongle. The license has 1-month validity & applies on both modules.

As maintenance support, it's your responsibility to renew the module license once a month for each clients. Though the renewal can be done online, sometimes, for particular reasons, it might fail.

The solution is offline renewal which requires a flashdisk with 4GB as minimum size.

Here's how you can prepare the flashdisk:

1. Quick format the flashdisk into NTFS format & rename it as ERA.

2. Plug in the flashdisk onto the web server.

3. Login into DM module.

4. There will be a file inside the flashdisk (appengine.bin) if you're doing it right.

5. Remove the flashdisk from web server & bring it to the office for further processing.

Actually, you can renew the license without bringing back the flashdisk to office. But, it requires authorization from Erasoft top management since the development team must install the renewal software on client's web server.

For online renewal, you only need to inform Erasoft development team the UID no. on client's web server. In order to get the UID no., what you have to do is just running UpdaterLicense.exe for debugging. You can get the file from this link.

Here's the step-by-step for online renewal:

1. Make sure UpdaterLicense.exe isn't running on background. You can check on Task Manager - Details tab.

2. Extract the zip file from the above link.

3. Inside the folder, right-click on UpdaterLicense.exe & choose run as administrator.

4. A pop-up window will show up. It will show you the UID no.

5. Inform it to Erasoft development team.

Usually, UID no. won't change unless there's a change on the web server hardware. This is one of the cause of online renewal failure. If that happens, you should re-check the UID no. using the above steps.
